Alan Shield is the founder, and Instructor Coordinator of Club CPR. He has been in the Emergency Services field since 1988 when he started in the Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps. In 1990 he pursued this industry with the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department which was part of the 911 system.  He became an EMT in 1990, a NYS Firefighter in 1992 and later an Advanced life Support provider in 1994.  He has remained in the 911 system and still currently is active in both the role as a provider and instructor.

Alan has recently completed numerous courses offered by the U.S Department of Homeland Security in Weapons of Mass Destruction including Incident Command Courses, Hands On Training courses and Instructor Level Courses with his most recent certification as a General Instructor from The US Department Homeland Security Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston Alabama. He also attended various courses in Explosive training with The US DHS CDP held at the New Mexico Tech Mining Institute in Socorro New Mexico.

Mr. Shield has been teaching since 2000 when he became an Empire Safety Council Instructor For Defensive Driving.  He has expanded his teaching qualification to the National Safety Council in 2000,  American Red Cross (ARC) and for the American Heart Association (AHA). He is currently qualified to teach various course with the U.S. office of Homeland Security on Weapons of Mass Destruction to the Emergency Services Industry.

Alan's reputation in the Emergency Services Community has been excellent, and he is a well respected instructor. His love of teaching, combined with his extensive experience makes Mr. Shield is the ideal person to teach your personnel all of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) courses.
